Hi, I’m Merrin O’Connor.

I turn human stories into meaningful experiences.

From three-dimensional design to UX, I’m drawn to how people experience the world. I bring curiosity, empathy and a collaborative spirit to designing what comes next.

02 / A LITTLE ABOUT ME

My starting point was objects. My passion is people.

I started my journey as a three-dimensional designer. I graduated from the University of Iowa School of Art, Art History & Design with distinction, focusing on furniture and spatial design. But it wasn’t the objects I was creating that I was passionate about — it was how people would experience them.

My enthusiasm for human experiences and storytelling brought me to the University of the Arts London to pursue my master’s in User Experience Design.

I thrive in collaborative environments.

Collaborating with coursemates from many different cultures has shaped how I design and communicate. Their perspectives pushed me to become a more empathetic, ethical designer grounded in human-centred practice. This foundation guides how I approach inclusive design and collaborative UX work.

03 / BEYOND THE SCREEN

There’s always another story, here is mine.

Storytelling beyond UX

Photography is a large reason I fell in love with storytelling. I love taking small, simple moments and capturing them to create a story, especially while travelling.
